Five Tips For Busy Season

  1. Set Current Plans:
    • Make sure that all of your groups’ current plans are set. Confirming current plans in PQ is great for creating a history and database for your group, as well as being a time-saver at renewal time.
    • Take the time to add current plans to groups you're inheriting, or during your busier weeks this year, and next year, you'll be able to skip that step.
  2. Census Effective Dates: 
    • We recently released an update that allows you to save censuses with future effective dates, just by uploading and saving it with that date.
    • How this helps:
      • If you have a group that you find isn’t returning their marketing census to you, and time is running out, you could use a document like a renewal or an invoice.
      • Input those employees, and submit so that you’re able to get your work started. If/when your client provides the most current census, you can simply make edits, submit your census again, and PerfectQuote will update your results.
  3. Resubmit Census: Think of it as a Refresh button
    • Carriers don’t all release their rates at the same time, (wouldn’t that be lovely?!) so when you submit your census in PerfectQuote, you might notice that you only see one or two carriers’ plans available.
    • When new carrier information is released, PerfectQuote will not automatically update itself.
    • To see if a carrier has released new or updated information, all you need to do is hit the Submit Census button again. This will update your results without removing anything you’ve worked on, and can be done as often as needed.
  4. Shift Work with added Flexibility
    • Let PerfectQuote help you to handle your book of business differently this year. Do you have any groups you think will Renew As Is, with a carrier?
    • If that carrier releases their rates before the others, you can create an export with only that comparison to present to the group.
    • If they want to see other carriers after that, it's very easy to drop those plans in, and download your new export.
    • Create a limited presentation featuring Current, Renewal, and the Recommendation. It’s a clean way to discuss what you think will work best, and you can provide the client access to PerfectQuote to see if there’s anything else they want to discuss. If they do, you can update the presentation with a few clicks, or you can simply talk through the rest of their options.
  5. Go Digital: Don’t forget that you are able to give clients access to view PerfectQuote.
    • Give your client access to PerfectQuote so they can see their options electronically, along with the details of each plan. They’ll see all the plans available, they’ll be able to see which plans you’ve favorited, and they’ll be able to play with contributions whether they’re at home or on the go. This is a great way to get your client their options before your competitor has a chance to meet with them and favorite their own.
