Quote File Best Practices:

  • Use dual monitors if available, to help with review between carrier files and PerfectQuote plans/export.
  • Gather all carrier renewal files into (1) folder prior to uploading into PerfectQuote. (documents for current plans & renewal plans)
  • Review quote files to determine if the file is valid prior to uploading, when possible.
    • Does it meet file requirements?
    • Is it on the list of files PerfectQuote does not support?
  • Drag and drop all carrier files @ one time.
  • Quote upload tab - refresh browser after a plan is uploaded if the plan seems to taking a long time to finish processing
  • QF upload should take between a few seconds and 1-2 minutes normally
  • When setting up Current Plans, use the prior year renewal file, if available, then copy plans over to the Current Plans tab
  • Completing all plan language standardization in PQ export and then updating Broker favorite plans by Copying & Pasting may save time and ensure consistency
  • Set Broker favorites (star) for all plans that are added to BB
  • As a reminder, scanned files and/or files that are saved using Microsoft Print to PDF will create an upload error in PerfectQuote.
    • To avoid this issue, when downloading and/or saving files to your desktop use the "save as" feature to keep the original PDF document properties and to avoid changing the underlying properties of the PDF.
