Multi-Factor Authentication

First Time Setting Up MFA:

1.      Download an authenticator application to your mobile phone. We suggest Google Authenticator:  Download here for iPhone or Android .

2.      Log into PerfectQuote with your username and password.

3.      You will then be presented with a setup screen including a QR code. Below is an example; PQ will generate a specific one for your login;

4.      Launch your authenticator app on your mobile phone. Tap the “+” or “Add” link, then choose to “Scan a QR code”. 

5.      Scan the QR code on your computer screen presented within PerfectQuote, or use the code below (zoom out if you can't see the code). This will create a new entry within your authenticator app labeled “PerfectQuote”. Enter its 6 digit code into the login screen and tap the “Sign In” button.

6.      Each time you login, you will input a new 6 digit code from the authenticator app into PerfectQuote. The code will update every minute, so please be sure to have the app easily accessible for quick input.

Forgot/Reset Password:

• If you need to reset your password, please delete the existing PQ app entry within your Google Authenticator app. Then, the app will generate a new QR code with your password reset. This will ensure you will not have two identical entries.

Troubleshooting:

• Your computer and your phone (with your Authenticator app) must have the same system time and time zone. If you run into issues where the Authenticator app code is not accepted, then please check the times on both devices to make sure they’re in sync. For example, if you have been recently traveling and one device is on a different time zone, you may run into issues.
• If you’ve recently reset your password and did not delete the previous “PerfectQuote” entry within your Authenticator app, you may have two “PerfectQuote” entries, and may have used the code from the old entry.
