Creating a census in app

If your group has a small number of members/dependents, it may be easier to create and submit the census directly in our app. You’ll be able to retrieve hundreds of ACA Medical plans, as well as Aetna Alt-Funded Medical plans and fully-underwritten Beam Dental, Vision and Basic Life plans, in just a few seconds!

Within your Employer Group, go to the CENSUS tab and click the "Edit Census" button to create/edit your census.

• Tap the + button to add members and dependents. The + at the bottom will add a row at the bottom of the census, and the + to the right will add a row below that row. For each, you must enter:
  • Last name, gender, date of birth*, relationship, zip code
    • * Please check your state/carrier restrictions around dependents over the age of 26.
  • Medical Tier – EE, ES, EC, EF, waived coverage, or waiting period.
  • Medical Plan Selection
  • Plan Selection
    • If assigning to a plan within an option, mark members for Plan 1, Plan 2, Plan 3 etc.
      • Think of these as corresponding to your high, medium and low cost plans, for example.
    • You can also designate members for "Waived Coverage" or "Waiting Period".
  • Add elections for members and dependents in the Dental Tier, Vision Tier, and Basic Life columns.
  • Input optional member details as needed.
• Double check for errors.
• Set your plan effective date at the top.
• Click "Save", then “Submit Census".
