Connecting a group

Existing BenefitPoint accounts can be imported into PerfectQuote to automatically bring in group and plan information, in just a few clicks!

 

Importing accounts from BenefitPoint

1. Within your EMPLOYER GROUPS view, tap the "Import BP Account" button.
2. Search for your BenefitPoint Account by its account name OR account number.
   • You'll automatically see any matching results.
   • Click the "Click here if you don't find your Account" link if needed. This will update PerfectQuote with any new BenefitPoint accounts.
3. Select your BenefitPoint Account then tap the "Import" button.
4. After a few seconds, you'll see any plans that exist in your PerfectQuote group and your BenefitPoint account, and will have the option to link those plans together to keep information in sync between systems.

Choosing plans to sync

Once a PerfectQuote group and BenefitPoint account are connected, we sync plan updates in both directions every hour.

Upon initial connection, you can specify:

• Which plan(s) to sync between systems
  • You can select plans to NOT sync between systems, ie - if you have existing BenefitPoint plans that don't need to be in PerfectQuote, or vice-versa.
• For plans that may exist in both systems (ie - perhaps you created a plan in BenefitPoint with only basic plan details and no rates, then created the same plan in PerfectQuote with full benefits/rates), you can:
  • Choose to merge the plans.
  • Specify which plan should be the source of truth for plan details/benefits/rates, to overwrite the matching in opposite system.
  • After merging, updates made in either system will be reflected in both systems.
  • Note: we will not attempt to match plans by name, given plan names may vary between systems.

Choosing plans to sync between systems

We'll show any plans that exist in each system, and you can choose to:

1. Do nothing - unselecting checkboxes for a given plan will result in that plan not being synced to the opposite system.
   • Do this if you do NOT want the plan to sync to the other system (PQ or BP).
2. Sync a plan to other system without linking - selecting a checkbox for a plan will sync it to the opposite platform, but will not link it to any plan in the opposite system.
3. Merge plans between systems and select one of the plans to be source of truth (ie - to have its data copied over to other system). If you see two plans that represent the same plan and should be linked:
   • Drag a plan into the area indicated, so that it aligns with its matching plan in the other system.
   • Once two plans are aligned, select which system's plan data should be the source of truth. This plan will overwrite the contents of the linked plan in the opposite platform.
   • You can also drag plans out of the “merge plans” area, if you change your mind, to avoid merging plans.
